It's Been Awhile...

So I realize it's been like 2 months since I updated this blog....
Well, to start off, Benjamin William Eichhold and I started dating on Feb 6 and today is our 2 months! He's absolutely fantastic, and he's definitely one of the greatest guys I know. Justine and Aaron are ENGAGED! and I'm going to be the maid of honor! I'm so excited! It's only taken me about 16 years to move up from flower girl to this spot haha :)
Justine and I have decided to do a bible study together on Wednesdays just for some girl time, and we're going through 1 Corinthians together. I feel like God is calling me to start looking for another place to help out with worship so as soon as school is over, I'll be finishing my time with True Identity. It'll be sad to move on, but God has other plans for me and I can't wait to find out what they are :)
I have to go to class, so this is all I have time for. I'll try to keep this updated a little more often!

Love Rach

Letting Go

This week I've been able to let go of something that has been a huge part of my life completely. Even though it's been a difficult struggle, I know that this is right. Despite how much I've struggled with it, I know that letting go is the best decision. There are better plans that God has in store for me, and I know He will take care of everything. Psalm 33:4 says "For the word of the Lord is right and true, He is faithful in all He does."
He is faithful in all He does.

It's so amazing to me that God has this master plan for me, the small town, girl next door.

And He has plans for you too :)
God is good all the time, I can't stress that enough.

The First Week

So CCU is pretty amazing, I've made some really awesome friends already and it's already the first official week of class. I am so much more outgoing than I ever was at AU, and even tho I miss my AU friends, I am so thankful that God led me to CCU. Right now I'm figuring out that being a worship ministry major is very costly, but God provides so I'm not worried :) I haven't gotten homesick either! Sure I miss my fam, but I feel like I've gained family here. Today it was about 50 degrees out, and it smelled like springtime! I'm excited for the weekend because I'm going dumpster diving...how flippin cool is that?!
I need to go fill out another scholarship application.

Remember God is good all the time!

Evangelizing...the new frontier!

This past week I was able to take a class over evangelism and it really opened my eyes. One thing my professor stressed over and over was "do we really hate people that much to not witness the love of Christ to them?"
It's sad because it's so true.
Why do we hold back? We shouldn't be embarrassed. Christ gave His perfect, sinless life for us so that we may be reunited with God for all eternity. We're all given opportunities to witness to the world about Christ, even if we may not realize it. This whole subject reminds me of the song "Tell The World", which is one of my favorite worship songs. The chorus goes "Tell the world that Jesus lives, tell the world that He died for them." That is our job ladies and gentleman. In Matthew 28: 18-20, Christ commands us to "Go and make disciples of ALL nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit". So my question is this: why aren't we doing it? I'm just as guilty as the next person, and this year I want to evangelize more. I'm not going to be one of those "bullhorn guys" that stands on the corner downtown screaming that all nonbelievers are going to Hell, but I'm going to make sure that I develop friendships as I witness to others. It is so important to build trust with others, and that is the first step. I don't know if anyone is going to be reading this, but if you do, please understand that Jesus loves you so much that He died to forgive you of your sins. And He wants you to tell others you come in contact with about what He did for the whole world. He wants all of you in Heaven with Him rejoicing and praising God :) And that's a wonderful feeling

Well I'm off to bed. Goodnight!

Here It Goes

So I'm new to this whole blogging thing but I thought it might be a good way to keep in touch with family and friends back home while I'm at school. I'm so glad I'm at CCU, this is exactly where I'm supposed to be. I love the people here already, and I've already made several new friends. I can't wait to see what else God has planned for this semester :)
I'll write more later on, right now I gotta get ready to go tour the city. Miss you all!
