Today is January 12, 2010.
I'm not so great with this whole blogging thing am I?
Well to start off, I'm sick. I have a sinus infection and feel incredibly sluggish. I haven't been this sick in awhile so prayers are much appreciated :) I get to go back to school on Sunday, and it will be good to see everyone again, even tho I'll miss being home and doing absolutely NOTHING!
I seem to be struggling with patience, and it has become clear to me that I need it a lot. I used to have much patience and didn't mind waiting for certain things, but now that I'm older, I don't want to wait. I want things to happen when I want, not necessarily when God's timing is right. I've been reading some scriptures dealing with patience...for example Col. 3:12 says, "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." I definitely haven't been clothing myself with all these things, especially pertaining to patience.
Waiting for God's perfect timing is incredibly hard. I didn't know how hard it was, but I do put all my faith and trust into Him. There's so much going on right now...my church is going thru a horendous time, and it makes me want to weep. Are we not called as brothers and sisters to love one another and lift each other up in spirit and prayer? It hurts to come home and see all these people who once loved each other backstab and rip the other apart. I'm thinking maybe this is God's way of preparing my heart for what's to come once I'm involved in full-time ministry. Idk, it just sucks watching everything happen from the sidelines.
This was pretty much a vent session so if you read this, I thank you for reading and listen to me vent. Hopefully I can keep up with this blogging thing a little bit more.
